dc.description.abstractThis report presents soil statistics for agricultural land in the county of Møre og Romsdal. Soil data from the soil survey form the basis of the statistics. The survey was conducted according to standard procedures. The mapping is done as a sample survey on 0.9 km2 plots, in a predefined 9x9 km2 grid system. Hence, the statistics for Møre og Romsdal is an estimate. The area distribution of a number of topics is presented (both in decares and percentage). This report shows that 42 % of the cultivated land in Møre og Romsdal has a very good soil quality, 50 % of the cultivated land has a good soil quality. In general, the cultivated land is well suited for agriculture. The most limiting factors on the cultivated land are a high content of organic matter and a high content of coarse material.
