This report presents soil statistics for agricultural land in the county of Troms. Soil data from the soil survey form the basis of the statistics. The survey was conducted according to standard procedures. The mapping is done as a sample survey on 0.9 km2 plots, in a predefined 9x9 km2 grid system. Hence, the statistics is an estimate. The area distribution of a number of topics is presented. This report estimates that 41 % of the cultivated land in Troms has a very good soil quality, and 45 % has a good soil quality. 62 % of the cultivated land is estimated to have a good ability to avoid water saturation, a big advantage in future wetter climate conditions. In general, the cultivated land is well suited for agriculture. The most limiting factors on the cultivated land are a high content of organic matter and a high content of coarse material.nb_NO
